12 years ago I began working at Salerno’s Winery in Vista during harvest. I started collecting the used wine corks with the Salerno name/logo on them. My first attempts were making table caddies, plate chargers/mats and trivets using these corks. Then I started making bird houses for the wine club members, taking into account their interests for personalization. I then branched out into breaking down wine barrels, using the wood staves to create requested items.
